Wanika holds an A.A. degree in music from CCSF. Wanika has studied electric/acoustic bass with Michael Colleus and Clarence Stephens, as well as additional studies with Charles Moffet and his Youth Big Band. She has recorded with Alice Coltrane, Ed Kelly and Mystic Youth. Wanika is also the co-writer and producer with Sunship Productions for the reggae band Mystic Youth with I-Skeeda and the Irie-Ites.
She is currently in the band Dream Forward with a recent CD release.
